Dear Sirs,
The success of last year’s Congress gave grounds to conclude that despite the pandemic situation in the country,the decision to organize the largest annual event of the ITS POLSKA Association – the POLISH ITS CONGRESS (IntelligentTransport Systems) – was accurate. When making the decision to join the organization of the 14th POLISH ITS CONGRESS, we hoped that this time – despite the worrying forecasts regarding the pandemic – the jointly undertaken organizational effort will be crowned with success. Healso madethe decision to return to organizing the Congress in May. This is an additional challenge, especially since a little more than half a yearwill pass since the past Kongresu.
However, we hope that the response of our ITS environment will be large enough and the pandemic situation stable enough for us to be able to organize the POLISH ITS CONGRESS on a full scale. However, wecannot exclude a situation in which restrictions related to the epidemic will apply. Therefore, the organizers reserve the right to move the Congress to another date so that we can meet in a stationary form.
Referring to the tradition of previous years, in May 2022 leading representatives of the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) industry will meet in Warsaw. Experts, practitioners of the ITS industry and representatives of the academic world will address a whole range of issuesrelated to the most modernechnologies in transport, both from the side of transport infrastructure and vehicle. At the 14th POLISH ITS CONGRESS, we will talk about ITS technologies in public transport, traffic management systems, image processing and analysis technologies and transport autonomy. At the 14th POLISH ITS CONGRESS there will also be new, important thematic areas such as theuse of large data sets intransport,C-ITS systems, strefy “clean” transport in cities, or issues related to the law and financing of Intelligent Transport Systems in Poland. At the Congress,we will also discuss the ITS theme in rail and air transport.
Similarly to the format of the previous edition of the POLISH ITS CONGRESS, we also anticipate open discussion panels in the upcoming one, creating opportunities for active participation in the Congress.
The upcoming meeting will be opened, as always, by speeches by representatives of key institutions and organizations responsible for the development and implementation of ITS technology.
