Foreword

Dear Sirs!

The next 16th edition of the POLISH ITS CONGRESS – Intelligent Transport Systems, which is the largest and most important forum in Poland for the exchange of knowledge and experience related to ITS solutions, is approaching. 

The ITS POLSKA Association – the Organizer of the Congress has planned to organize PKITS on October 7-8, 2024 at the Mercure Warszawa Centrum Hotel in Warsaw.

 One of the goals of the Congress is to integrate the environment related to intelligent solutions in transport. Parallel to the substantive discussions, there will be presentations by manufacturers and suppliers, devices and comprehensive ITS solutions (systems). Representatives of leading companies in the ITS market will be at your disposal to discuss the capabilities of the devices and how to integrate them with existing systems. Thanks to this, it is possible to build systems from scratch, as well as expand them with new functionalities. Importantly, these solutions can be selected taking into account the needs and capabilities of the implementing entity. 

This year, at the XVI POLISH ITS CONGRESS, we will discuss, among others, the following:

• protecting roads and road users from overloaded vehicles, which pose a threat not only to infrastructure, but also to road safety and fair competition
• Mobility as a Service
• projects in SmartCity Lab as an initiative of the ITS POLSKA Association
• innovations in traffic management
• construction, maintenance and integration of electric vehicle charging station infrastructure with ITS solutions
• the use of artificial intelligence in transport solutions
• financing of investments in the area of transport infrastructure
• clean transport and restricted traffic zones
• multimodal transport in a Smart City (debate)

A novelty at this year’s Congress will be a poster session, during which young ITS enthusiasts – students and practitioners – will present their ideas related to innovative telematics solutions in transport. We want it to be a stimulus and inspiration for further work and ideas on ITS solutions in Poland.

We invite you to participate in the XVI POLISH ITS CONGRESS as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of innovative solutions.
