Dear Speakers,
Below please find the rules for preparing and submitting your speeches and presentations during 8th POLISH ITS CONGRESS (26-27 of May 2015, Warsaw ).
We invite the academic staff for preparing the abstract for the congress programme. English-language congress issue of the quarterly “Archives of Transport System Telematics ATST” will be prepared in cooperation with the Polish Association of Transport Telematics. The magazine, published by the Association for six years, has been included by the Minister of Science and Higher Education in a list of scientific journals of 17 September 2012, with six points for publication.
If your company is not a sponsor of the Polish ITS Congress in 2015 and if your abstract has been accepted, you are required to pay a EUR 1364 + 23% VAT fee for entering a speech to be given during the Congress. The price includes: complimentary entry for 1 person and 15-min speech. Please read the terms and conditions of entering presentations for inclusion on the agenda. The final division into thematic sessions will be decided based on interest in the different topics expressed by potential authors’ willingness to prepare speeches on the different topics.
If you are interested in taking part in the Congress as a speaker, you must send an abstract of your speech, clearly indicating the topic you wish to talk about and describing its relevance to the theme of the Congress.
Preparing your abstract
Your abstract should be prepared in English and should contain not more than 1300 characters (including spaces between words).
Your abstract must be accompanied by your statement that:
the text of your speech has not been published before and that it has been approved by all the co-authors, if any;
you and the other co-authors, if any, assign, without consideration, any and all copyright on the materials sent to us to the extent of their publication and distribution.

Accepting your abstract
All abstracts will be evaluated by the Congress Programme Council (for the names of the members of the Council, visit www.pkits.pl). In evaluating the abstracts, the criteria will include innovation of presentation, currency, and relevance to the theme of the Congress. Abstracts will be accepted or rejected based on the opinions of 3 reviewers. If your abstract is accepted, you will receive your reviewers’ comments and suggestions for taking the comments into account in preparing the full version of your presentation, paper and an extended version of your abstract.
Once we let you know that your abstract has been accepted by the Congress Programme Council, you will be required to prepare and submit the following:
– a brief biography of yourself, including a photograph of you/a logotype,
– your presentation,
and additional (for interested speakers):
– your ATST paper in English,
– an extended version of your abstract for “PRZEGLAD-ITS.pl” in Polish.
We will let you know that your abstract has been accepted by 31 March 2015
If the abstract of your speech is not accepted, we will let you know our decision, but you will not receive any comments.
Each speaker must provide a brief biography of himself/herself (up to 250 characters, including spaces between words), plus a photograph of himself/herself and/or a logotype, for posting on www.pkits.pl in the Speakers section.
Biographies and the photo/logotype files should be submitted to 12 April 2015 by e-mail: biuro@pkits.pl
We would like all the presentations to be provided in the same form, therefore we would appreciate if speakers could use the attached presentation slide form. On each slide you have place to put the company’s logo. Other slide forms are not acceptable. Please note that your presentation should not be longer than approx. 15 minutes. The moderator of each presentation session will be required to ensure that the above time limit is not exceeded. We would like to publish all presentations in closed PDF files on the www.pkits.pl website.

To ensure a consistent format of the speeches for the congress, authors are required to use the attached template in preparing their texts. Please note that your speech may not be longer 8 pages and should be written in English. Speeches with photographs should be prepared for printing, i.e. in a resolution of 300 dpi. The organisers are planning to publish the speeches on the congress-dedicated magazine “Archives of Transport System Telematics ATST”, a quarterly published by the Polish Association of Transport Telematics and included by the Minister of Science and Higher Education in a list of scientific journals of 17 September 2012, with six points for publication.

in Polish (for interested speakers)
We would like to invite all speakers to prepare and deliver on website www.przeglad-its.pl an extended version of his/her speech. Your extended abstract should be in Polish and should contain up to 6200 characters (including spaces between words) and in English (up to 500 characters, including spaces).
