Laureate of the First Prize of the Prime Minister of Poland for achievements in technical sciences (twice). He has extensive experience in soft computing algorithms and sound & image processing.

Paweł Gora,  Uniwersytet Warszawski

Scientist at MIMUW, author of the Traffic Simulation Framework software. He works on modelling, predicting and optimizing vehicular traffic and was a software engineering and research intern at Microsoft, Google, CERN, IBM Research. LIDER ITS 2015.

Michael Gschnitzer, Kapsch

Michael Gschnitzer graduated as an Electrical Engineer at the Technical University of Vienna in 1991. Within his diploma thesis he worked on an innovative laser-tracking system improving trajectories of industrial robots.

After moving to Kapsch he was employed as technical coordinator, project-manager and account-manager on numerous projects in the fields of Public Transportation, Intelligent Solutions for Road Operators and Electronic Fee Collection.

With a relevant experience of more than 25 years he is today in the position of Vice President for International Sales in the Kapsch TrafficCom Group.

Dirk Hendrickx, Barco

Dirk Hendrickx started at Barco in 1997 and held various leadership positions within systemized integration control room business, corporate presentation, simulation and networked solutions. Mid 2013, Dirk Hendrickx was appointed VP Strategic Marketing tasked to re-define the strategy of the division. In 2014, Dirk Hendrickx was appointed to lead the Barco Operational Collaboration Systems business unit.

Dirk Hendrickx has a Master degree in Industrial Engineering and obtained a Strategic Management degree at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

He completed his Ph.D. in 2008. The main subjects of his research are concerned with sound intensity measurement techniques and design of DSP algorithms. He has an extensive experience in noise measurements and noise control techniques as well.

Krzysztof Krawiec, Politechnika Śląska

An academic who deals with the scientific issues concerning the induction of electric vehicles to transport systems. He prepares his Ph. D. ‘The method of choice of the public transport lines to be served by electric buses’.

Karolina Marciniuk in 2013 she graduated from the Gdansk University of Technology, Faculty of ETI. Her subject of M.Sc.Eng. thesis was related to dynamic noise maps. She is a PhD Student, and her interested are focus on road acoustic.

Jean-Noël Marteau, Egis Projects

He is currently Project Director in Egis Projects, Groupe Egis subsidiary dedicated to project development, investment and operation of PPP infrastructure projects. Egis Projects has been actively participating in infrastructure projects (mainly motorways) having been successfully financially closed in the last 10 years in Europe, Australia and Far East.

Since 2014, he is developing the on-street parking business in Europe with big success in the city of Amsterdam.

He joined Egis Projects in 2006, where he took part in motorway concession/BOT/PPP proposals including Ireland, Russia, Slovakia and India.

Jean-Noël has been first working in the Electronic field industry for 10 years (Clivage and KABA 1982 – 1992) and then with GEA in the Toll System business from 1992 to 2006 in various countries (Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Croatia, Hungaria).

Rafał Ogonowski, Sprint

Involved in ICT industry for more than 20 years. At Sprint SA he is responsible for contacts with key customers and ITS development at Sprint S.A. He has participated in many actions, starting from acquiring projects and ending up with support during implementation. His knowledge has been essential while implementing such systems as weight-in-motion (WIM), section speed control and smart city, e.g. ITS in Olsztyn and trams traffic management system.

Author of four books, co-author of the Railway Lexicon, co-author of the European control command specifications, author of over thirty scientific articles published in conference proceeding and technical magazines. Member of the signalling and telematics group as well as member of the traction group of the Polish Academy of Science.

From January 2002 to June 2008 Railway Scientific and Technical Centre CNTK (presently Railway Institute) deputy director for railway interoperability. From June 2008 to June 2012 member of the PKP Polish Railway Lines Board responsible for strategy and development, especially in relation to full application of Railway Interoperability Directive and Railway Safety Directive both in technical and legal aspects. Since June 2012 Railway Institute deputy director for railway interoperability dealing especially with European and Polish certification of individual rail products, railway lines and railway vehicles as well as with risk evaluation and assessment.

Since 2004 chairman of the Polish Standardization Organization PKN Traction Equipment Technical Committee KT61 and since 2007 chairman of the Polish Standardization Organization PKN Railway Technical Committee KT138.

Since 2005 member of the board of the National Association for Railway Interoperability and Development SIRTS, which represents Polish Railway Industry in UNIFE – the European Rail Industry Association.

Matthias Prick, Vitronic

Matthias is Head of Tolling Sales at VITRONIC in Wiesbaden, Germany. He is responsible for national and international projects covering Toll Enforcement and Toll Collection. Among other projects he was involved in the Toll Collect road charging project for nationwide truck tolling in Germany. Before joining VITRONIC in 2010, Matthias held various positions in sales, consulting and traffic planning.

Józef SUDA road traffic engineer in the field of telematics systems for public transport vehicles management, traffic management systems (methods, tools, means), methodology and tools for research and measurement of controlled and unregulated traffic. He is involved in the modeling and research of the processes of moving the vehicle stream in uninterrupted traffic. Dr. Józef SUDA is an adjunct at the Traffic Control Department of the Faculty of Transport at the Warsaw University of Technology and a traffic management specialist at the Department of Municipal Bus Company in Warsaw. Author of expert opinions on the traffic management and construction of complex telematics systems in cities and on roads in the countryside. Member of the Warsaw University of Technology’s experts’ platform, is an active member of many organizations: the Association of Communications Engineers and Technicians of the Republic of Poland, a member of the Traffic Control Section of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a member of the Polish ITS Technology Platform. Information on roads, traffic, travel, GR 3 Transport Automation and Control, and GR-6 Road Infrastructure ITS). He is a member of the Innovation Team of the Transport Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
